Easy meal planning tips – 4 meals in 4 minutes

Sep15

Easy meal planning tips –

We all desire something quicker, easier and more effective in the world of meal plans.

I spontaneously decided to jump into the world of vlogging today, and I’d love for you to come along and laugh right at me. ๐Ÿ™‚
I’m showing you how easy it is to make “4 meals in 4 minutes.” (Even though I only got through two of them).
The concept of easy meal planning by separating, seasoning and putting together a simple freezer meal as soon as you get home from the store has been such a time savor.
Thinking ahead with quick and easy crock potย  and oven meals saves me stress during my crazy busy fall scheduling.
It helps eliminates the “brain freeze” I feel most nights at 5:00 pm when the family is asking, “What’s for dinner?” and I am sure that I just fed them last night. ๐Ÿ™‚
I have lots of tips and ideas on bulk cooking, baking and meal planning, so use my great search bar feature to the right and have fun browsing.

Since I am a very atypical blogger and would much rather talk off the top of my head any day than write a big old blog post, thanks for coming along with me for this first “Meal planning” vlog.

I may start doing this once a month for some of my more specific tutorial type posts.
As we were getting ready to leave for football practice, I called my son to videotape for me.
He had the camera pointed at me and said, “Hurry, we need to go.”
I then told him I had to think of what to say, and he requested that I do that first before I call him to spontaneously videotape. ๐Ÿ™‚

Love your vlog and just wanted to hug you hearing you again!
I love, LOVE Homemade Gourmet and don't even sell the stuff. I major in eating, so it's right up my ally.
Here is a {little long, but} funny story and you actually fit in it!
Before She Speaks, I read your site, then clicked over to Charlie's re: the shoes and left a comment.
Someone who was also there saw my comment and clicked over to my site (you know how we all do that clicking?).
While she was there she noticed that I was singing the praises of HG- specifically 4 meals in 4 minutes. And she was Tami Von Hoy- founder of HG.
Now we are buddies and she even sent me a month's worth of 4 meals in 4 minutes as a birthday gift!! We are loving EVERY meal!!!

There you have it. Blog love over food. Nothing better than that!

And your son waiting for football is a good man. You both did a GREAT job!
    Hugs!

You did such a great job Jen. You are a natural in front of the camera!

I love your tip too. I tend to always have frozen chicken breasts in the freezer that I split up for meals, but I always forget to season them in advance. I'm definitely going to remember next time.

I love your meal planning tips. While I do plan out my meals for the week, buy in bulk and freeze like you suggest, I've never thought to add the seasoning before freezing. It's a great idea!

    Thanks for hosting Tasty Tuesday!

    Love your vlog!

Like most families with teenagers, we are super-busy, which makes meals a challenge! Planning meals according to what's on sale, processing the main-dish meats into meals, and filling the freezer is a lifesaver on busy nights. I have some super-easy recipes on my site that take you from grocery store to freezer in no time. Glad we are all here on the web to help each other out!

  43. Just found your blog today – LOVE it! Love the video you posted too. I will try this next time I buy bulk meat… usually my husband tosses it in the freezer for me as it's in the basement – but this would be so much better – THEN he can take to the freezer! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks for sharing, and being a great testimony of faithfulness.

Perfect timing and great tip. I'm guilty of stick it in the freezer and figure it out later. Then it gets freezer burn while I buy fast food. And as a grandma with custody of a 4 year old who just started Awana, along with school meetings at night, thank you, thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚
