Easy Cream Cheese Danish Recipe

Nov30

How is it possible to have three, tiny ingredients taste like you spent all day in the kitchen, and have a group of 30 women ask for the recipe?

Often, my desire is to bake from scratch, but too many times I am racing, and need something I can throw together in a hurry. This easy cream cheese danish recipe is your answer.

I have determined that there is absolutely nothing that can go wrong with a mixture of cream cheese and crescent rolls, yet when you add a little sugar into this mix, sheer mouth melting deliciousness occurs.

This is the sweet mixture, but if you are looking for a similar, yet savory dish, try my Sausage Crescent Roll Recipe, perfect for brunch.

Yes, another yummy and simple, holiday recipe for your “Go To” list. Please share and check back for more. If you are interested in having your featured, submit your recipe for consideration.

  1. Have this same recipe but we use 2 blocks of cream cheese. After spreading the cream cheese then we add a can of pie filling before spreading the other can of crescent rolls. The blueberry is YUM! I baked 4 for my work in one day!

Yes, that is the BEST, isn’t it? I put that as optional for those that want to go super simple, but we know the filling takes it up that extra special notch. Although, it’s amazing to me how amazing just the plain cream cheese and mixture tastes. Next time I make these, I may offer both options. 🙂

@Cassie, Hi – when using 2 blocks of cream cheese, do you also add another cup of sugar? Thanks!

@Cassie, I don’t think I even put in a whole cup of sugar. The pie filling is sweet so that takes care of the sweet part.. I think my recipe actually called for putting in one egg yolk in the cream cheese filling. I’ve done it both ways and doesn’t seem to matter either way. I sometimes sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on the top before baking.

@Cassie, Thanks Cassie for your comment. I wasn’t quite figuring out how to add the “extra flavors ” to the base recipe. Blueberry sounds yummy to me.
I love the simple and yummy recipes..

    Happy Independence Day everybody!!

  4. We make a varioation of this too. We use two blocks of cream cheese and add cinnamon. We sprinkle more cinnamon and sugar on top prior to baking. We eat it hot/warm. So delicious! I’m going to have to try it with pie filling. Yum!

  8. Brandi Barnett says:

This may be a silly question: does the pie filling or jam go in between the cressent rolls (on top of cream cheese mixture) or does it go on top similar to frosting?

    [Reply]

    Jen Reply:

not a silly question at all, I should have clarified. It’s part of the filling in between.
