Rice Krispie Easter Basket: the Best in Easter Basket Treats

Mar8

With Easter right around the corner, people will begin hunting for fun, yet easy, Easter recipes that are a perfect idea for Cooking with the Kids.

There’s nothing better to spruce up Easter Basket treats then to make them ourselves, literally, as in form your own Rice Krispie Easter Basket Treats.

Inspired by my all time favorite Rice Krispie Treat recipe, these are so fun and easy to make. (But please slide the bowl of Peanut M&M’s far away from me, or they will disappear in my stomach before they are needed.)

Begin with your basic Rice Krispie Treat recipe, but instead of forming them into bars,  form little baskets, making a small indentation in the middle.

Frost the top of the basket and then sprinkled shredded coconut  to make the grass. (Yes, you have already added a few drops of green food coloring to that coconut first to resemble grass.) Add in a few Easter M & M’s to mimic eggs, and then use the pull apart licorice to top off the look with a pretty Easter basket handle.

Aren’t these just pure, easy fun?

I know you will enjoy these Easter Basket treats as much as we did.
