Over the last few weeks, I’ve been blowing up my instagram (jenschmidt_beautyandbedlam) and facebook feeds with all the spray painting projects that I’ve been tackling.
That has meant multiple trips to my local building supply stores to replenish my DIY stock. As you enter Home Depot, have you noticed the large “workshop project” boards?
When our kids were young, they enjoyed their free kids workshops for years, but Home Depot offers FREE weekly workshops to learn just about everything when it comes to tackling home projects and repairs yourself. Honestly, I really want to attempt to add subway tile to my kitchen back splash and just noticed they are even hosting a tutorial for tiling. It might be a sign. 🙂
I’ve partnered with Home Depot for their upcoming FREE Do-It-Herself Workshop, and I am excited to co-host a dose of DIY time on August 15th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm EST at my local store. I’d love for you to join me.
We are going to learn how to make that adorable homemade chore chart above. With clear instructions, plenty of time for questions and answers and a wonderful demonstration, Do-It-Herself Workshops will get our creative juices flowing. I should sign up for the floor and wall tile class. They actually have it at my local store coming up (we live in a small town, so not everything is here). I have a LARGE amount of hideous mauve/pink/gold accented tile along with mauve grout in our master bathroom. Ugh, ugh, ugh.

One project I would like to tackle is the left side of our front yard. We finally did the right side( not symmetric yard, so we can’t just ‘ copy and paste’ to the left) so the fall planting workshop might be quite useful. Our front lawn is also a mess, so I should definitely sign up fr that.
